Spirit of Freedom Long Term Customers

Spirit of Freedom are long term customers of RJ New Designs. We designed their last website eight (8) years ago. Despite being a brilliant site (if we do say so ourselves) there comes a time when every good site needs a refresh. That time was now. As well as creating a great new design, we also revised the site plan and navigation structure to maximise user engagement with the site. A website refresh is a great time to complete a thorough review.

As always, this project started with the written content. We downloaded all of the content into a Word document and sent it to the client for review. This is a fantastic opportunity to look at everything with fresh eyes, which is particularly important when updating an old site. Content that was accurate 8 years ago, might not still be relevant, but not have been looked at in context for a while. Once the content was finalised, we re-worked the navigation structure and then prepared a design concept.

The new Spirit of Freedom website is a responsive WordPress site. That means it automatically resizes to display at best advantage, no matter the viewing device. It is also fully editable, meaning the customer can update / amend all the website’s content and imagery, as and when needed. There was some complex coding completed in conjunction with this website’s development, including some diver information forms and manual reservation forms. Spirit of Freedom is a luxury liveaboard dive boat, providing outstanding customer service and dive experiences on some of Australia’s most remote and iconic destinations. Their new website has been designed and developed to provide a virtual online portal to that world. It includes videos and integrates with a range of social media accounts and platforms.
