Gateway to Cassowary Falls

Gateway to Cassowary Falls is a new tourism business which opened its doors in 2021. Located in the Daintree, they provide bespoke Daintree experiences in the form of luxury accommodation and half day waterfall and rainforest tours. We worked closely with the owners to design and develop a website which exceeded their expectations. It integrates with third party providers to enable secure online bookings and payment.

We love tourism websites! We have strong backgrounds in all aspects of the tourism industry, from marketing and communications to rainforest interpretation, tour sales and bookings. We draw on this expertise to provide advice and services to deliver best outcomes.

For the Gateway Cassowary Falls project we provided an extensive range of services. This included liaising with a graphic designer to have a contemporary new logo prepared. Visiting the property on Upper Daintree Road several times, to get a comprehensive understanding of the property, the tours, the chalets and how they should be best represented online. Assisting with tour development, in regards to itinerary and collation of interpretive notes.

During these visits we also took an extensive array of drone photography, HDR photography and GoPro footage. This has been utilised extensively on the website, with the majority of images having been taken by us. With the exception of the luxury accommodation images, which were taken by an external provider.

We worked closely with the owners to develop an appropriate site plan and navigation structure. We created a custom design and coded a responsive WordPress website which integrates with external platforms to facilitate online booking and payment functionality for the accommodation and touring component of the business.

RJ New Designs wrote the content for the website and also provided social media management for Gateway to Cassowary Falls for the first four months of operation.
